Kevin is a Vet2Vets contributing journalist. Kevin is a resident of Austin, Texas where he serves as the President of the Blinded Veterans Council.

Mr. Jackson joined the U.S. Marine corps in 1977. While serving in the Marine Corps Reserve, he was activated in support of 1^st Marine Division during Operation Desert Storm. He suffered a traumatic head injury which took his left eye and legally blinded him in his right eye. Kevin was Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1995.

Kevin is retired from General Motors Corporation after serving 23 years. He currently serves on the Texas Council on Purchasing from People with Disabilities and he also serves on the South Austin Care Givers Board of Directors. Kevin volunteers at the Criss Cole Rehabilitation Center. Kevin Jackson graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Xavier University of Louisiana in 1982.
